Hello! My name is Heather.
Welcome to my eBay Charity Auction for Lyme Disease research. On Sunday, April 20th, I was granted a Make-A-Wish that brought some of my modest fashion designs to life during the Pure Fashion Runway Program in Atlanta GA. I was so blessed to have my designs shown. My hosts Mrs. Brenda Sharman and Mrs. Rhonda Boyle and the beautiful models welcomed me like one of their family. Even though it was a a challenging day, I walked the Pure Fashion runway for every teen and dear one who battles Lyme disease. I was so blessed to go.
This auction features my “Ballroom Prom ” formal gown design. Thank you very much for considering a bid to help find a cure for Lyme families all across the United States and beyond. Minus eBay fees, 100% of the proceeds from my auction will be presented to my charity, the Lyme Disease Association, at a Lyme Forum in August, where experts will bring prevention, science, epidemiology, education and awareness to families and healthcare professionals from the tri-state area . A panel of experts will be presenting and there will be a special time for answering questions from guests. I hope to see you there. More information about the date and time will be posted on my web site.
In the group photo below, four of my designs are being auctioned. Beginning on your left, Marina is wearing Audrey Hepburn Inspired, next is Allison in Enchanting, (I am wearing Ivory Surprise and Greta is wearing Retro Princess. Ivory Surprise and Retro Princess will not be auctioned), next is Ashley in Elegant Orange (sold!) and Chloe in Ballroom Prom.
If you or a loved one, a friend or someone near to you has suffered from this disease, the funds raised from these four lovely gowns is a gift of hope for you. One very kind lady calls me a teen with a dream for a cure. I am battling Chronic Disseminated Late Stage Lyme Disease. I am not alone. I wish you could meet my Lyme friends from all across the U.S. They are amazing, talented, smart, brave kids. Lyme kids have to give up so much and it is their strength, their faiths and the love of their families and friends that helps them face every day in their suffering. If you purchase one of these gowns, you will have the blessing of a lovely design to wear or give as a gift and you may be helping to save a life, like mine or my best friend Gracie, who is fighting for her life every day. Persistent, chronic Lyme disease is real, it is painful, and we need research dollars and a gold standard test to help us find a cure and save lives! The Lyme Disease Association has raised more dollars for research than any other organization or government funded program. If you know someone who if battling Lyme disease, ask them how you can support them in their fight.
There are so many people who have made this opportunity possible. I hope you will visit my web and check out the list of wonderful people who have been so kind and supportive.
I am walking this disease by my faith. I just have to give all my praise and thanks to my Lord Jesus for all these incredible blessings that so many children and grown ups will benefit from. If you would like to learn more about Lyme disease or read my wish story, you are invited to visit a special web created as a gift for me. You are welcome to click on my guest book and say ‘Hi” and read all the details at stylebyheatherrose (dot) com. Please bear with me while I am able to add to my site a little at a time. You are invited to sign the guestbook. Mention what state you are from, too!. Just look for the tabs and click.

If you are not shopping for a gown, or you cannot afford the winning bid, but would still like to make a private donation towards research for Lyme disease, you can contact the Lyme Disease Association at their .org website and designate your gift towards “Heather’s Charity for LDA” Thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Curtis, Tee Time Golf Pass for the first donation of $500.
I’m so excited that you have come to bid. Enjoy the gowns.
~Serving God with all of my heart.

Chloe is a fun, joyful Pure Fashion model. She is very discerning and cares about others. Chloe walked the runway with so much grace (she's a ballerina!). Her presentation of my “Ballroom Prom” design shows the unique features including the beautiful chiffon sash that flows over the shoulder and down the full length of the gown. It is simply lovely. Eileen is a friend from childhood. As children, we were known as 'Frick 'n' Frack b/c we were always together and like peas in a pod. Here she models for you, the soft contouring lines of the gown as well as the pearled neckline and the beautiful sash from the back view. Gracie is one of my best friends. She has walked a very challenging battle with Lyme disease. Gracie is a very caring, brave girl. With all that she has been through, she just keeps such a positive attitude and embraces every moment. I am so proud that Gracie is such an important part of this charity gift. It means so much to her, too. Here she models this lovely formal gown elegantly to show you how lovely the sash compliments the soft, blue flowing gown. You, too, will feel like a princess when are awarded the bid and wear Ballroom Prom to your special event.
So here we have a baby blue Crepe back sateen evening gown with a sleeveless top and a soft v-neck. The straps are about 2" wide and very modest under the arm. The V-neck is accented with lovely pearls. The gown is fitted till it reaches the hips and then flares out to the floor to give it a very flowing feel. The baby blue chiffon begins at the top right shoulder with fullness. It wraps around the back and is secured just below the left hip. From there you see it open up and it's fullness begin to flow into the bottom of the dress. It is tacked at the hem in the front, and the back, and the side so that the chiffon maintains it's visibility and fullness. The dress is fully lined with high end white lining. The dress opens with a zipper in the back. The measurements are bust 34.5", waist 27", hips 38.5". From the shoulder seam to the ankle it measures 60.5". It is approximately a tall ladies size 6 - 8. There are a couple of tiny surface snags barely noticeable unless you know to look for them. They blend in closely with the sateen. If you have any questions about that, please let me know.
This gown has been dry cleaned and handled with great care by the Pure Fashion team and my family.
Please enjoy the accompanying photos as you consider a bid.
Should you win this lovely dress, remember that 100% of the profits minus eBay fees will benefit Lyme disease research. My charity auction is designated for the Lyme Disease Association.
The Lyme Disease Association (LDA) is an all volunteer 501(C)3 non-profit national organization. The LDA is dedicated to Lyme disease education, prevention, and raising research dollars. About ninety-six cents of every dollar raised has been used on programs. In its search for a cure for chronic Lyme, the LDA has already funded dozens of research projects coast to coast through researchers at institutions such as Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons, NJ Medical School (UMDNJ), Fox Chase Cancer Center, University of California, Davis, and University of Pennsylvania. Some of the research has been featured in peer-reviewed journals, such as the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), The Proceedings of the National Academy of Science, The Psychiatric Clinics of North America, Infection, Journal of Neuropsychiatry and Clinical Neurosciences, JSTBD, Journal of Clinical Microbiology, Journal of International Neuropsychological Society, and Infection and Immunology. Very significant genome work initially funded by LDA has shown that different strains of Borrelia have the ability to exchange genetic material among themselves, a trait greatly benefiting their survival and probably confounding the body's ability to eradicate the organism.
The LDA and its affiliate, Time for Lyme (TFL) created an endowed Lyme Disease Research Center at Columbia University. Brian Fallon, MD, associate professor of clinical psychiatry and director of the current Lyme Disease Program at New York Psychiatric Institute, serves as the Center’s director. He is considered by many to be the leading expert on neuropsychiatric manifestations of Lyme disease. The LDA has funded some of his past research including the pilot study which provided him with data needed to obtain the $4.7 million grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for studying the effects of long-term Lyme disease treatment using state-of-the-art brain imaging, which has recently been published.
